While plugged in, the Series+ 405 cello retains the natural warmth of a traditional cello while introducing an edge and a whole new dimension of musical possibilities. The varnish used on the model 405 instruments emulates the exceptional varnishes of a century ago, where a small number of master workshops in Markneukirchen, Germany distinguished themselves by creating some of the best varnishes of the modern era. The unique pickup system is embedded into the spruce top of the instrument before varnishing, without any disturbance to the bridge. The proprietary 3.5 mm jack is discreetly located behind the endpin, making it virtually unnoticeable. Each Series+ instrument is accompanied by a lightweight, low-profile cable that offers a seamless connection to the amplifier or individual playing setup, providing the easiest and most comfortable design for plugging in on the market.
