Make Music Madison is one-day citywide, free, outdoor musical experience held on the Summer Solstice, June 21. Music lovers around the city will generate a continuous wall of music to be enjoyed by everyone. Anywhere can be a venue as long as it is outside, anyone can be a performer as long as they love music, and of course everyone can enjoy this unique day of musical celebration.

Join the Madison Area Music Association in honoring local music talent of all stripes — from classical to punk — as they present the 10th Annual Madison Area Music Awards. The MAMAs are a charitable organization whose mission is to put musical instruments in kids’ hands and to fund music education programs. It’s a night of celebrity and fun, Madison’s own version of the Grammys, complete with Red Carpet.

This is a camp for students ages 4-15, with any degree of ability. 4-5 year olds attend from 9:30am-12:00pm. 6-15 year olds attend from 9:30am-4:00pm. Highlights include music making technology, instrument family demos, drum circle, jazz piano styles, fun songs, and nationally recognized musicians. Students participate in the performing process, do a recording project, and video edit (for older students.)

Relax in your lawn chair, kick off your shoes, and enjoy the summer evening air as Heid Music's very own Bill Grasley and Brandon Domer provide a musical interlude in an Acoustic Traveling Suitcase.

This is an event to celebrate families who love playing music, listening to music, and all around just love music together!

Before the concert, from 5-6:30, Heid Music will have an Instrument Petting Zoo display of a variety of instruments for anyone to try. Adopt your next pet!

A Heid Music camp in it's 5th year, the Academy of Rock calls 12-18 year old kids that want to learn what it's like to be in a real band. Not only do you get to rehearse with some of the best coaches in the area, but you also get to learn about all the behind-the-scenes stuff from local professionals.
