The story of Vic Firth drumsticks begins with a musician. While performing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, principal timpanist Vic Firth began creating his own sticks and mallets in his garage. His dissatisfaction with the limited selection at the time has led to an extensive catalog with over 200 products to help you find your perfect pair.
The American Classic line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs, the Classics are turned from select hickory — a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response.
