Developed in collaboration with Animals as Leaders founder and progressive guitarist Tosin Abasi, the Sterling by Music Man Kaizen brings an innovative, performance-focused design to a standard 25.5" scale. The Kaizen combines a lightweight, ergonomic Nyatoh body with a roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24 frets, and modern hardware designed for precision playing and expressive pitch manipulation. Finished in Stealth Black with a color-matched headstock, this signature guitar delivers an unmistakably modern look and a versatile platform for technical playing.

Ergonomic, Lightweight Design

The Kaizen's angular body design was developed around Tosin Abasi's approach to guitar performance, providing comfortable access and a balanced playing experience. The Nyatoh body and roasted maple neck keep the instrument lightweight while providing a solid foundation for powerful tones. The 24-fret neck offers extended range and easy access across the fingerboard, making the Kaizen especially well suited to progressive, technical, and modern guitar styles.

A three-way pickup selector, master volume, and master tone provide straightforward control over the guitar's sonic palette.

Steinberger Gearless Tuners provide smooth, precise tuning adjustment with a low-profile design and straight string pull that helps reduce friction. The Modern Tremolo bridge gives players the ability to add expressive vibrato, dive bombs, and pitch effects while maintaining the performance-oriented character of the Kaizen design. The 15.75" radius further supports fast, technical playing and wide bends.
