The JHS Kilt 10 celebrates a decade of one of JHS Pedals' most versatile and recognizable drive circuits with an updated voice, refreshed aesthetic, and expanded tonal range. Developed with guitarist Stu G, the Kilt has earned a reputation for clarity, responsiveness, and versatility, and the Kilt 10 builds on that foundation with more headroom, smoother attack, enhanced high-end clarity, and a more useful low-gain range. From transparent edge-of-breakup tones to saturated British overdrive and gated fuzz, the Kilt 10 gives players an expansive range of drive sounds in a compact pedal.

Expanded Overdrive and Fuzz Range

The updated clipping circuit delivers a more touch-sensitive response with a smoother attack, increased compression, and additional distortion. The improved Gain control makes the first 25% of the range especially useful for articulate, low-gain overdrive textures, while the upper range delivers the heavier saturation and gated fuzz tones associated with the Kilt. Four clipping options are available through the G1 and G2 toggle combination, allowing players to move from lower-gain drive to increasingly aggressive overdrive and fuzz.

More Headroom and Enhanced Clarity

The Kilt 10 provides increased output headroom for a more responsive feel whether used with a clean amplifier or stacked with other pedals. Refined high-frequency response helps complex chords and detailed picking remain clear in a full band mix, while the Low-Cut toggle provides an additional option for tightening the low end and improving definition. The updated circuit is designed to work effectively with a broad range of amplifiers, including amp modelers and software-based rigs.

Flexible Switching and Remote Control

The Kilt 10 retains the familiar three-knob, three-toggle control layout of the Kilt V2 while adding the anniversary edition's updated styling. The proprietary JHS Red Remote circuitry allows the G2 gain toggle to be switched remotely, making it possible to change drive or fuzz settings without reaching down to the pedal. With its broad range of gain textures and responsive controls, the Kilt 10 can function as an overdrive, boost, distortion, or gated fuzz depending on the player's setup.
