Description
The Fender John 5 Phantom Telecaster is a radically modernized Tele designed by one of the most in-demand guitarists of the last three decades. A lifelong Telecaster devotee whose career spans session work and runs with David Lee Roth, Mötley Crüe, and Rob Zombie, John 5 built this guitar to keep everything he loves about the Tele while pushing it into bold new territory for hard rock players.
DiMarzio D’Activator humbuckers in the neck and bridge are voiced to deliver the impact of active pickups with enhanced dynamics. They produce the high-output, high-gain tone John 5 is known for, with tight lows and the clarity to cut through any mix. A Floyd Rose FRTS2000 Special Series double-locking tremolo handles extreme dive bombs and pull-ups while holding tuning. The stripped-down controls (a single master volume and a killswitch for stutter effects) keep the focus on playing. A black finish with matching painted headcap and a signature neck plate featuring John 5’s original artwork complete the look.
