Backun Vocalise R Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece

The Backun Vocalise R Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece was developed by renowned clarinetist, educator, and mouthpiece maker Richard Hawkins together with Backun Musical Services. Its close, short facing gives an even, focused sound that sings with ease. It also lets players articulate with less effort while keeping a clear, ringing tone, and Hawkins recommends it for young players stepping up to a more refined mouthpiece.

Each Vocalise mouthpiece is designed with CAD/CAM software, tested with 3D printing, and machined from hard rod rubber on a nine-axis CNC machine in a single setup, which keeps every piece consistent with the original design. It helps players center articulation, pitch, and altissimo, and it is designed to play well with both synthetic and cane reeds in strengths 2.5 to 4.5.
