The 1993 Ibanez RV470 is a rare Japanese-built Radius Series electric guitar that blends eye-catching design with the fast playability and versatile tone that made Ibanez a favorite among players in the 1990s. Finished in striking Gravure Flame Purple, this unique model features the distinctive Radius body shape with flowing contours, premium FujiGen craftsmanship, and a versatile HSH pickup configuration. This used example is fully functional, weighs 7 lb 7 oz, includes a hard case, and is missing the original tremolo arm.
Produced exclusively in 1993, the RV470 was the only model in the RV series, making it an increasingly collectible instrument for Ibanez enthusiasts and players looking for a unique addition to their collection.
Rare Japanese Craftsmanship
Built in Japan by FujiGen, the RV470 features a solid alder body topped with a stunning gravure flame finish and the ergonomic Radius body design. The sculpted body, All Access Neck Joint (AANJ), and transparent pickguard give this guitar its unmistakable 1990s Ibanez aesthetic while providing exceptional upper-fret access and playing comfort.
Versatile HSH Electronics
Factory-equipped with Ibanez V8 and V7 humbuckers surrounding an S2 single-coil pickup, the HSH configuration delivers everything from sparkling cleans to aggressive rock and metal tones. A 5-way pickup selector, master volume, and master tone controls provide extensive tonal flexibility for virtually any playing style.
Premium Hardware and Comfortable Neck
The one-piece maple Viper neck with a bubinga stripe offers a slightly fuller profile than Ibanez's Wizard neck while maintaining excellent speed and comfort. Premium appointments include a TZ-II synchronized tremolo bridge, Gotoh SG38 MG-T locking tuners, gold hardware, and a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. This guitar is missing its original tremolo arm but is otherwise fully functional.
