This gorgeous viola labeled E. Reinhold Schmidt was crafted in the style of a 1741 Joseph Guarnerius model, combining classic Italian inspiration with fine German workmanship. This instrument offers a rich, dark tonal palette with strong projection, warmth, and remarkable responsiveness across all registers.
Featuring elegant, antiqued varnish, refined arching, a beautifully carved scroll and a one-piece back, this viola shares balance, character, and power. The professional setup includes ebony fittings, Chevalet Despiau supérieur bridge and Thomastik-Infeld Dynamo strings.
