Pastor Mike is an instructor of Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, and Piano for students of all ages.  He teaches with a very individual style, allowing for differences in how each student learns and what they want to get out of lessons.  He is easy going, preferring to encourage a love for the instrument rather than force his students in a direction they don't want to go.  That said, if you want to be pushed, he will gladly provide that incentive.  He is also a youth minister at Cornerstone Church in Menasha, where he teaches and counsels students in middle school and high school.

Dr. Theresa Martin teaches beginning to advanced-level piano, clarinet, and composition students and also offers group composition seminars throughout the year.  She has been teaching at Heid Music since 2009, and she also teaches adjunct clarinet at Lawrence University and UW Fox Valley.  A typical piano or clarinet lesson with Dr. Martin involves scales and technique, playing and learning new repertoire from various books, learning about music theory and building skills in ear training and sight-reading. She promotes proper technique and daily practice, and she encourages her youngest students by making lessons fun with a positive rewards system.  In her spare time she performs as a clarinetist in the Waupaca Area Orchestra, Fox Valley Concert Band, and Vento Winds, volunteers as a pianist at her church, and composes music commissions for people all over the world.  She holds a doctorate in music composition from the University of Michigan, Masters degrees in composition and clarinet performance from Arizona State University, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in composition and performance from UW-Milwaukee.
