GENERAL

1. Community sponsorships and donations

Heid Music is proud to have been a Wisconsin-based, family-owned company since our founding in 1948. Today, we have locations in Appleton, Green Bay, Madison, Oshkosh and Stevens Point. We firmly believe in the importance of building and upholding a musically-focused community through educating and entertaining audiences of all ages.

Donation submitters are encouraged to review our guidelines and request process prior to submitting their requests.

GIVING GUIDELINES

1. To be considered, requests must do at least one of the following:

a. Better our community or the communities in which we serve through programming for music education and 501c3 music programming. Heid Music Family Charitable Trust at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region Inc. follows the same timeline and guidelines as Heid Music.

b. Be located in or serving one of the following areas:

  • Appleton - Fox Valley and surrounding areas
  • Green Bay and surrounding areas
  • Madison and surrounding areas
  • Oshkosh, Fond du lac and surrounding areas
  • Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, Central Wisconsin and surrounding areas
  • Other areas in which Heid Music conducts business throughout Wisconsin and northern Michigan

c. Have a music education component.

d. Have customer or employee involvement.

e. Offer Heid Music benefits in branding and collaboration.

2. In addition, all requests must meet the following criteria:

a. Organizations must be a local chapter non-profit or school (school music programs, music boosters or PTA organizations are preferred).

b. Requests must not be seeking a donation to benefit a single individual.

c. Requests to an event (non-musical) or sports team will not be considered.

d. Requests must be made with a minimum of 60 days' notice to the event deadlines; if not, the request will not be considered. 

3. If requestor is confident that their request fits these guidelines, they must submit their request in writing to Donations@HeidMusic.com.

a. Submit a letter addressing how the request fits into the above outlined criteria, including the date and location of event, funding requested and contact information. Be specific about any benefits associated with the request, including advertising opportunities and if a Heid Music associate or company affiliation is involved with the cause or event (include their name and involvement).

4. Donations are primarily given in the form of Heid Music credit, gift cards and musical product.

5. Requests are reviewed monthly with approved requests receiving confirmation of level of support.

a. To ensure that the request is reviewed in a timely fashion, submit it at least 60 days prior to the event date. Questions should be directed to Donations@HeidMusic.com.
