This beautifully crafted 1959 viola by Wisconsin maker Louis Joseph Ropson features a richly flamed one-piece back and a warm, resonant voice characteristic of his hand-built instruments. Made in Dyckesville, Wisconsin, Ropson’s violas reflect a lifetime devoted to music—both as a long-serving church organist and as a self-taught luthier who built violins, violas, and cellos from the mid-1930s until his passing in 1979.
Includes red Pedi case.
