As part of Martin’s refreshed 2025 Standard Series, the D-28 benefits from Sitka spruce Golden Era top bracing, inspired by vintage designs and also featured on the Modern Deluxe Series. These updates enhance resonance, sustain, and overall responsiveness. Playability is improved with a reimagined GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, high-performance taper, thinner fingerboard, and refined bridge and heel, creating a comfortable, familiar feel that supports long playing sessions. Timeless details like antique white binding, an ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays, an ebony bridge with bone pins, and nickel open-gear tuners complete the instrument’s classic aesthetic.
