Used Yanagisawa 901 Alto Saxophone

Serial Number: 00310802

The Yanagisawa 901 Alto Saxophone is a trusted choice for advancing students and demanding performers, offering a blend of precision engineering, excellent resonance, and reliable craftsmanship. This used model remains a strong representation of the quality and responsiveness that made the 901 series a long-standing favorite before the introduction of the current WO series.

Responsive Feel and Confident Playability

The 901’s brass body, neck, and bell create a warm, centered tone that responds easily across the full range from low Bb to high F sharp. The slim, efficient key mechanisms support fast technique, while features such as the C sharp to Bb rocking table key and overslung octave system ensure smooth transitions and a stable playing experience.

Thoughtful Craftsmanship and Mechanical Strength

Designed with durability in mind, the balanced tri-point bell brace and strong single-arm bell keys provide structural security and reliable performance. Plastic adjustable bell key buffers offer customizable control of tonehole apertures for fine-tuned response. Pointed pivot screws, blue steel springs, and airtight waterproof pads contribute to a precise action that holds up over time.

Elegant Presentation with Professional Detail

Yanagisawa’s hand engraving adds a touch of artistry to the bell, while white shell key touches offer both comfort and visual refinement. Nickel-free lacquered brass enhances both projection and classic appearance. This instrument includes a leatherette-covered woodshell case for sturdy protection.
