Selmer Paris 82 Signature NYC USA Limited Edition Alto Saxophone - Elkhart Dark Lacquer

The Selmer USA Exclusive NYC Signature 82 Alto represents the pinnacle of American saxophone heritage—a meticulously crafted tribute to the Elkhart era when Alexandre Selmer's vision transformed American music. This isn't merely an instrument; it's a numbered artifact honoring the address of Selmer's historic New York shop at 117–119 West 46th Street.

Collector-Grade Artistry Meets Player-Focused Engineering

Adorned with elaborate Art Deco engraving depicting the New York City skyline and historic motifs, each saxophone features Selmer's proprietary nitrocellulose-based Elkhart Dark Lacquer—a finish that recalls the golden age of American saxophone manufacturing. Premium French-made pads are fitted with modern recreations of 1950s ToneX resonators: domed, solid-nickel discs with screw-back fittings that deliver the complexity and color demanded by serious players.

The Selmer Genealogy, Refined

Built with Selmer Paris precision and voice-regulated by Conn Selmer's Elkhart team, the Signature USA delivers the remarkable resonance and responsiveness that defined legendary models from Balanced Action through Mark VI. The fast, light key action responds to your most nuanced phrasing, while the ring-style bell-to-body brace and Grenadilla wood end plug enhance acoustic efficiency across all registers.
