NS Design WAVc 5-String Electric Cello - Black

The NS Design WAVc 5-String Electric Cello combines innovative design, compact portability, and expressive performance in a lightweight instrument. Weighing just 4.7 pounds, the WAV cello is easy to transport while delivering the familiar feel and response of a traditional cello with the expanded possibilities of electric performance.

Lightweight, Travel-Friendly Design

The solid maple body and neck create a durable, resonant foundation while keeping the instrument remarkably compact. The included adjustable NXT tripod stand folds for convenient storage and fits inside the gig bag, making the WAV an excellent choice for travel, rehearsal, performance, and studio use.

5-String Performance

The five-string configuration extends the cello's range with a low F string while retaining standard C G D A cello tuning. The asymmetrical fingerboard relief and cascading dot markers provide comfortable playing feel and visual intonation references.

Polar Pickup and Passive Electronics

The Polar bridge-mounted piezo pickup system responds to both vertical and lateral string vibration, providing distinct responses for bowing and plucked playing. Passive electronics require no batteries and include volume, tone, and a two-way pickup selector for flexible sound shaping.
