MXR M400 Turbo Tuner

The MXR Turbo Tuner is built around the core engine of the original Sonic Research Turbo Tuner, bringing modern versatility to a strobe tuner known for professional-grade accuracy. Engineered by Sonic Research to tune within a fraction of a cent, it’s built to the roadworthy standard both brands are known for. It’s at home on the stage and in the studio.

A big, bright strobe display runs directly from your instrument’s analog signal, so it tracks with zero latency and no bouncing needles. Sharp notes rotate right, flat notes rotate left, and the pattern slows as you approach pitch, with four brightness levels keeping it readable in any light. Choose Chromatic mode or five customizable presets, each reprogrammable for up to 12 strings with ±50-cent offsets in 0.1-cent steps. That’s enough range for alternate tunings and microtonal work, and a USB port supports firmware updates and editor software. True bypass is the default. An internal toggle switches to buffered bypass with three submodes, and a heavy-duty footswitch is designed to last for decades.
