Maple Leaf Strings Model 110 3/4 Bass

The Maple Leaf Model 110 represents the sweet spot for advancing bassists, music educators, and studio players throughout the Midwest—a ruggedly built laminate instrument that refuses to compromise on tone or setup quality. Hand-graduated front and back plates replicate the acoustic response of carved basses at a fraction of the weight and vulnerability, making this the practical choice for Wisconsin winters, school orchestra programs, and gigging musicians.

Every Model 110 arrives professionally set up with D'Addario Prelude strings—a balanced, reliable choice that responds immediately to both arco and pizzicato techniques. The ebony fingerboard provides the smooth, consistent playing surface that intermediate and advancing students need as they refine their intonation and shifting. Two-piece plate-style brass machine heads offer precise, stable tuning across all registers.

Inlaid purfling on both front and back isn't mere decoration—it's structural reinforcement that protects against the edge cracks common in student instruments. The attractive spirit varnish finish withstands the rigors of daily playing while allowing the laminated spruce top and maple back to resonate freely. An 18.5" steel rod endpin with graphite composite plug adjusts smoothly and locks securely for players of all heights.
