Jupiter JTU705 3/4 Tuba - Lacquer

The Jupiter JTU705 transforms the beginning tuba experience for Wisconsin's young brass players. Purpose-built at 3/4 size for middle school and early high school students, this instrument refuses to treat "beginner" as a synonym for compromise. Stainless steel pistons deliver the smooth, responsive action that allows developing players to focus on musicality rather than fighting their equipment—essential for those critical first years in band.

Jupiter's integrated one-piece braces and valve section aren't just structural components—they're acoustic design elements that enhance responsiveness and resonance, producing a rich, clear tone with surprising depth for a fractional instrument. The proprietary annealing process refines tonal purity and warmth, giving young players access to the dynamic range they need for everything from Green Bay East's concert program to first-chair WSMA auditions.

Thoughtfully adjusted center of gravity and balance reduce fatigue during long rehearsals—a critical consideration when you're building embouchure strength and breath support. The 14.4" bell balances projection with manageability, while the lacquered finish protects the brass through Wisconsin winters and marching season humidity. Top-action three-valve configuration matches the standard students will encounter as they advance to full-size professional instruments.
