Boss RE-2 Space Echo Pedal

The legendary Space Echo sound, reborn in a compact pedal. The Boss RE-2 faithfully recreates the warm, rhythmic echoes and rich tape character of the original Roland RE-201 Space Echo—one of the most iconic effects ever made. With authentic tone, responsive controls, and modern reliability, the RE-2 delivers the lush, immersive sound that defined countless classic recordings, now in a pedalboard-friendly design.

Classic Sound, Modern Form
Powered by advanced BOSS DSP and decades of development, the RE-2 captures every nuance of the original RE-201’s tape-driven magic. Its multi-head echo system provides 11 combinations of playback patterns, expanded delay time, and that unmistakable, evolving warmth that only the Space Echo can deliver.

Depth, Character, and Control
The RE-2 features the classic spring reverb tone of the RE-201, now enhanced for true stereo operation. Use the Wow & Flutter control to add authentic tape modulation and movement, and the Twist effect for dynamic pitch shifts and feedback swells at your feet.

Flexible Performance Options
Choose between the clean analog dry signal or the modeled preamp coloration of the original unit. With tap tempo, carryover, stereo I/O, and expandability via external switches or an expression pedal, the RE-2 fits seamlessly into any modern setup—studio or stage.
