Celebrating Craftsmanship, Tradition & Our Long-Standing Partnership with Martin Guitars

Since 1833, C. F. Martin & Co.® has shaped the sound of American music with unparalleled craftsmanship, family-driven innovation, and a legacy rooted in nearly two centuries of acoustic excellence. As one of the nation’s most respected guitar makers, Martin continues to balance tradition and modern creativity—building instruments that inspire musicians at every level.

At Heid Music, we are proud to uphold a long-standing relationship with Martin Guitars. For generations, our shared commitment to craftsmanship, musical excellence, and community has helped connect players across Wisconsin with the timeless sound and superior playability of a genuine Martin instrument.

A Legacy of Innovation & Handcrafted Excellence

From the earliest workshop in New York City to the historic Nazareth, Pennsylvania factory, Martin’s family-owned heritage spans six generations of dedicated builders. Each era has introduced breakthroughs that transformed acoustic guitar design:

• X-bracing pioneered by C. F. Martin Sr., giving the acoustic guitar its strength and signature voice
• The Dreadnought body style introduced by Frank Henry Martin, forever shaping modern music
• Forward-thinking innovations such as the X Series and SC models under Chris Martin IV

Today, Martin continues to champion the values that define their mission: uncompromising craftsmanship, musical excellence, sustainability, and respect for tradition—values that resonate deeply with the Heid Music community.
