Unique size and shape make this bass a true oddity. Considerably lighter than some of the full sized models this still has the nice chunky neck that all Fenders should have.
Straight and true maple neck with rosewood fingerboard shows considerable play, but in all the right places. The fingerboard has a rolled edge from the many years of play on it while the frets show wear throughout. Very playable and fast, the neck is the highlight of this guitar. Headstock edges do have multiple minor scuffs and dings. All headstock decals are very clean.
Slight offset, the body feels great when strapped over the shoulder. There are various dings and dents throughout the body, but overall this thing looks great. Main chips out of the finish are on the bottom side near the input jack. There is evidence of the guard shrinking and there is now a visible line on the body's finish.
Pickup and all electronics (1 volume, 1 tone) are 100% original and fully tested to be 100% functional.
All hardware is original and in great working order with exception to the bridge string mute. The mute pad has deteriorated over the years. Fender tuning machines tune up well and keep tune. All hardware has some corrosion or tarnish of some sort.
Original hard case is included in sale, but is highly modified. Original handle broke off and was replaced by a much comfier woven leather handle. Both locks failed and replaced with the addition of two newer latch and hinges just inside each old one.
