The PB202 is a handmade flute with 958 silver headjoint (US specification), silver plated nickel silver body, footjoint and key mechanism. Open holes, French style pointed tonearms, drawn toneholes, pinless partial Brögger System and Straubinger Pads.
Miyazawa MZ-11 Flute Headjoint with 14K gold riser is a more traditional style-sound in a modern headjoint design. It's characterized by an open, dark and fluid sound with fewer high harmonics. This headjoint provides comfortable resistance with easily controlled dynamics and a round warm response. All Miyazawa headjoints are made of .958 silver.
The 14K gold riser tends to provide players with more complex and comfortable sound to any given headjoint cut. They take some of the edge off of the sound and make it sound darker and sweeter. There is a bit more resistance to work with, which many flutists like, and many people comment that the sound is more "full".
