Jeff Tellock, Senior Repair Technician

Jeff received his technical training at Allied Music Corporation Band Instrument Repair and has been with Heid Music since 1978. His reputation as a technician is world renowned, as musicians from all over the globe send their instruments to him for repair.
Jeff has taught repair classes since 1990, has given clinics to music educators and provides seminars internationally. NAPBIRT has recognized Jeff for his unique customization abilities. His techniques have been published in multiple trade publications.
Jeff is a certified Straubinger Pad Technician and is proud to offer Sales and Authorized Service for a number of fine flute manufacturers, including Miyzazawa, Straubinger, Resona, Trevor James, Avanti, Altus, Muramatsu
, Hammig, Powell, Yamaha, Azumi, Armstrong and Jupiter.
Ken Skitch, Senior Repair Technician

Ken is a graduate of Allied Music Corporation Band Instrument Repair and has repaired band instruments since 1981. He joined the Heid Music staff in 1987. Ken is a former president of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians.
Ken is also a master clinician, presenting throughout the U.S. and Canada. He is on the advisory board for the Band Instrument Repair Program at Minnesota State Southeast Technical College in Red Wing, and has been a substitute instructor.
Ken has a degree in trombone performance and composition from Queen’s University of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and is an active musician in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area.
Ken specializes in French horn rotor and piston valve rebuilding, trombone slide repair, professional saxophone restorations and customization, Roo pad installation and instrument alterations to accommodate hand positions.
Tim Arendt, Repair Technician

Tim is a 1986 graduate of Minnesota State Southeast Technical College in Red Wing. After graduating from college, Tim went to Tucson, Arizona, to work for Muller Music Center. While there, he ran a repair shop and enjoyed the sun.
After missing the four seasons, he returned to Wisconsin in the fall of 1988 to join the G. LeBlanc Corporation at the Frank Holton plant in Elkhorn. In 1990, Tim joined the Heid Music team, where he specializes in woodwind repairs and is the company safety director.
Robert Asman, Senior Repair Technician/Luthier

Robert has been a luthier for more than 35 years. In 1975, he started his training at Gilmour Brothers Music in Saginaw, Michigan. When Gilmour Brothers moved to Appleton, he joined them.
Robert started renting a portion of the store and began his own string shop, specializing in string repair and selling vintage instruments in the violin family. In 1994, Gilmour Brothers Music was acquired by Heid Music Company. With decades of experience selling and repairing thousands of instruments, Robert has the skill and knowledge to professionally perform any of your repair needs.
Chris Felts, Repair Technician

Chris Felts began his formal music education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in music. As a student, he performed in numerous ensembles and received several awards for scholarship and musical performance, including the Honor's Recitalist Award in 2006. Chris then attended Minnesota State Southeast Technical College in Red Wing, Minnesota, where he earned a diploma in band instrument repair.
A firm believer in continuing education, Chris is a member of NAPBIRT, and he actively seeks out new repair methods and concepts. Also an avid musician, Chris is a member of several music groups based out of the Fox Valley: Men In Suits and the Big Band Reunion. He performs on saxophones and other woodwinds in every conceivable musical style.
Troy Haumschild, Repair Technician
Years of Experience: 20+
Troy began working at Heid Music in 1993. He is a graduate of the band instrument repair program at Minnesota State Southeast Technical College in Red Wing. Since graduation, Troy has received additional training at Heid Music, through national repair conventions and regional seminars hosted by NAPBIRT. In 2000, Troy relocated to our Green Bay store, where he specializes in brass and woodwind instrument repairs, evaluations and appraisals.
Ron Lehr, Repair Technician
Years of Experience: 16+
Ron holds a bachelor of arts degree in instrumental music from UW-Whitewater and a degree for band instrument repair from Minnesota State Southeast Technical College in Red Wing. He was the band director for grades 5 through 12 for Weyauwega-Fremont Schools (1979-1983) and Almond-Bancroft Schools (1983-1988).
Ron started repairing instruments in 1990 and joined the Heid Music team in 2001.
Jim Ninnemann, Repair Technician
Years of Experience: 21+
Jim graduated from Minnesota State Southeast Technical College in Red Wing in 1991. He has provided repair services throughout the Green Bay and Fox Valley area since 1993, including two early years as the repair technician at our Green Bay location. After 11 years of repairing throughout the Fox Valley, Jim returned to Heid Music in 2012.
Daniel Ozsvath, Repair Technician
Years of experience: 5+
Daniel graduated from Southeast Technical College in Red Wing, Minnesota, with a diploma in band instrument repair. Upon graduation, he started working at Heid Music, initially receiving training from the Repair Team at our Appleton location. Currently working in our Green Bay store, he features a skill set that includes repairing brass and woodwind instruments, with an emphasis on flutes. He is a certified Straubinger Pad Technician, has studied at Flute Authority and has attended multiple NAPBIRT Conferences. Daniel continues to advance his repair knowledge through conferences and on-the-job training.
Carl Rasmussen, Repair Technician
Years of Experience: 17+
Originally from Ambler, Pennsylvania, Carl has always enjoyed music. His saxophone playing received high marks, as he earned degrees from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania (bachelor of arts degree in music education, 1985) and Baylor University (master of music degree in saxophone performance, 1988).
After college, Carl got married and moved to the Kansas City area, where he taught instrumental and vocal music in Lathrop, Missouri. He then began repairing instruments for the Toon Shop Music Store in Prairie Village, Kansas. Along the way, Carl kept a modest piano-tuning business on the side. He and his wife Susan have two children, Megan and Evan. The Rasmussen's currently reside in Watertown.
Bob Rewalt, Repair Technician
