Caroline H., Voice - Offering In-Person Instruction
Caroline recently received her Masters of Music from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee while teaching private voice lessons at Trevecca Nazarene University. A Nashville native, Caroline’s performance experience is varied and includes professional opera roles, oratorio and early music performances, background vocal performances with pop and rock bands, and recording studio experience. She brings this versatility to the studio and prioritizes the flexibility of each of her voice students.
While she loves to perform, Caroline’s true passion is teaching. She loves meeting students where they are in their musical journey, teaching them to care for their instrument, finding creative ways to reach their specific goals, and instilling in them a joy of music.
Lauren S., Voice - Offering In-Person Instruction
Lauren recently received her Bachelor of Music from Illinois Wesleyan University where roles included Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) and Adele (Die Fledermaus) and performed three recitals with a mixture of opera, operetta, musical theater and jazz repertoire. Lauren has worked for a children's operetta and believes that there is nothing greater than exposing children to classical music.
Lauren's philosophy is that everyone can sing if they aren't afraid to put themselves out there and have fun; the voice was made to be used! Her main objective is to build a strong technical background that will provide a base for students' growing voices through classical vocal studies, but students will be encouraged to bring in music that interests them. The voice is unique to each individual and Lauren ensures each student has fun while learning to use that uniqueness to inspire and be inspired.
