Relative in materials used and size of the Gibson LG-0, Epiphone's mahogany parlor sized Caballero is a great value for anyone looking for a Kalamazoo, Michigan made instrument.
Slightly twisted, the mahogany neck is still playable, a compensated saddle could to the trick of getting a better action and playability. Majority of the frets have play wear while the rosewood fingerboard shows relatively light wear. In general the headstock is in very good condition with the edges showing wear from being loose in the case. At the heel body joint there is a chip in the finish off the treble side 14th fret.
Beautiful all mahogany body shows light buckle rash, but has more than a few dings and dents throughout. Heavy play wear is all around on the back/side seams. Between the rear strap pin and bind are two tiny holes filled in by what looks to be stained tooth picks. The side show tiny dings and dents as well as finish checking throughout. All binding is in great condition with no cracks or shrinkage.
Plastic bridge and pick guard are original to the guitar. The plastic bridge could use replacing due to it being slightly raised on the backside. That is a very common repair/replacement. The machine heads look as it they have been replaced.
Hard shell case is included in sale. The case is heavily used and shows it. All hinges do work and will keep the guitar safe. Backside hinge nails are coming loose from case sides.
