Really Simple Syndication (RSS) allows you to to keep up to date with the latest events, updates and goings on at Heid Music without the need to check the site frequently.  The image indicates an RSS compatible web browser or RSS reader (also called an Aggregator) will allow you to subscribe to our feed.

Why RSS?

RSS saves time and bandwidth, instead of having to go to your favorite site every day, RSS brings the news to your computer daily or at whatever interval you want.  There is no lengthy download process, since RSS uses just titles, links, and a brief description, it can be sent to a variety of XML compatible devices including cell phones, pagers, or handheld computers.

 

How do I use RSS?

 

To take advantage of RSS, you will first need an RSS Reader or Aggregator.  Some web browsers are already RSS compliant and you can subscribe directly from your web browser.  If you are not using an RSS compliant browser, you can download any number of free RSS readers from the web.

Heid Music recommends using any of the following RSS capable web browsers:

Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera or Internet Explorer 7

Other programs that are RSS compliant:

Mozilla Thunderbird mail client, as well as other RSS Readers (Google)
