Heid Music Madison is donating money to the Madison Area Music Association to support their mission, “To put musical instruments into kids’ hands and to fund music education programs for Dane County-area youths.”
June 2 was MAMA’s 9th annual awards ceremony at the Overture Center for the Arts. The goal of the ceremony is to honor the music scene in Madison and South Central Wisconsin. Todd Heid, president of Heid Music, presented an award at the ceremony, where more than 1,200 people were in attendance.
Todd Heid and his wife, DeDe Heid, marketing director for Heid Music, announced at the ceremony that Heid Music would collect tickets from the award ceremony, and donate $5 for every ticket given to Heid Music. A collection box will be set up at the Heid Music Madison location until July 1, at which time the tickets will be counted and the money will be donated to MAMA.
Todd Heid said he and DeDe Heid wanted to help MAMA raise money because it is trying to get instruments to children in the Dane County schools. By donating money, Heid Music can help MAMA achieve this goal and, in turn, help continue to grow the music programs in the Dane County area.
Anyone who wishes to drop off a ticket can bring it to Heid Music Madison, located at 7948 Tree Lane, Madison, Wis., 53717. There is a collection box at the front counter and no purchase is necessary. All that is required is to leave the ticket in the box and Heid Music will donate $5 for every ticket dropped off.
