Doctors in Recital Fox Valley is coming up FAST! Saturday, October 12 at 6:00 pm we will be welcoming all friends to a recital that will dazzle and entertain. We have an incredible line-up of a variety of songs for all music lovers. There will be Broadway, pop, opera, blues "scat", classical and the show will open and close with big band jazz favorites.
At Heid Music, we held a sneak preview of the event and the doctors and some performers told the audience about their pieces as well as why they like to perform at this particular venue.
Dr. Susan Szabo and Dr. Joyce Bauer commented that they love to be with their colleagues performing and it is a pleasure to play for such a worthy cause each year. This year the non-profit recipient of all the proceeds is LEAVEN. They help countless people in the Fox Cities community turning hardship into hope.
Dr. Victoria Negrete says, "I love that Doctors in Recital offers us the opportunity to share our second passion, music, with the community in which we practice." Victoria shared that opera is her passion and she will be performing a piece from La bohème.
Executive Director of LEAVEN, Mary Parsons, spoke at the event and expressed gratitude for being the recipient. She said that LEAVEN was a great fit this year because they are an emergency room for people in financial crisis. The music and medicine connection is strong and is a true cure and blessing for many situations in life.
Our host and guest musician is International Performer and Drive-time Radio Host of 91.1 The Avenue, Steve March-Tormé. Another guest performer is recording artist and Appleton native, Hillary Reynolds.
