One piece chunky carve maple neck with a "D" profile, rolled fingerboard edges, and smooth finished frets offer lasting comfort. Frets have little to no play wear. Play with ease throughout the neck.
2-piece ash body has heavy contours for player comfort and is 1954 spec down to a "T". The flash-coat lacquer finish does have some blemishes; a few scuffs on the bottom bouts from possible case wear and a scuff on the lower bass side bout that is pictured. Overall, this is a fine looking guitar.
Based of the original designed 1954 single coil pickup, the newly designed '54 reissue pickups capture the tone an entire era only knew. Unlike the original 3-way switch, this reissue offers a 5-way selector for all of the in between tones modern players are accustomed to using/hearing.
Single ply pick guard, rounded molded pickup covers, and control knobs have all been painstakingly recreated to look like the bakelite originals. The headstock houses "no line" Kluson Deluxe tuners and a circular string tree. The ashtray tremolo cover and trem bar are included, but not mounted.
Era correct Fender tweed reissue hard case is included in sale with all case candy pictured. 1954 reissue cert is in sealed envelope. Case does have scuff on front/top.
