Steinway & a Sandwich - Leonard Hayes

Heid Music Appleton, Piano Gallery
Pianist Leonard Hayes, a native of Dallas, TX is a recent graduate of Lawrence University Conservatory in Appleton, WI. While there, he studied under the tutelage of Dmitri Novgorodsky and Catherine Kausky; and studied abroad at the Conservatorium
van Amsterdam with Matthijs Verschoor.
Leonard is the winner
of the 2011 Debose national Piano Competition, the 2011 WMTA Badger Collegiate Piano Competition and in March 2011, Leonard was invited to
perform at the Music Teacher's National Assocation Convention, conducted by Robert Weirich.
Currently, Leonard is on the piano faculty at the Appleton Music Academy.

Fox Valley Flutes Concert
Monday, February 6, 7:30pm
First Congregational Church, 724 E. S. River St., Appleton
The Fox Valley Flutes will present their first concert on Monday, February 6, 2012. The concert begins at 7:30 PM in the First Congregational Church, 724 E. South River Street, Appleton. The concert is free and open to the public.
The flute choir concert will perform works by Telemann, Rossini/Ben-Meir, Laszlo Zempleni, Kelly Via, and Rodgers-Hammerstein/Holcombe-Dorsey. The concert will feature the piccolo, c flutes, alto flutes, and bass flute.
The Fox Valley Flutes share a love of flute study and performance. Flutists interested in joining the FVF should email Patricia George: georgeflute@hotmail.com The Fox Valley Flutes thank the First Congregational Church for providing space for rehearsals and concerts. |

Solo & Ensemble Workshop

Student Musicians - This is your chance to get feedback from REAL Solo & Ensemble judges, all before you bring your solo/ensemble to the festival!
Heid Music has partnered with the WSMA to present a FREE Solo & Ensemble Workshop with the sole purpose of helping you improve your performance. You will perform for a WSMA sanctioned judge at a scheduled time, receive feedback and interact with peers - all to help make your performace the best it can be. Consider it your Sole & Ensemble dress rehearsal!
Workshops will take place at the following Heid Music locations:
Heid Music Appleton: 308 E. College Ave
Heid Music Green Bay: 2201 S. Oneida St.
Heid Music Madison: 7948 Tree Lane
If you are interested in participating:

All studen performance times will be scheduled by Heid Music based on performance category, and will take place no earliery that 9:00am.
