The Tama Imperialstar Standard Drum Set comes ready to rock with: drums, a full set of cymbals (including a free 10" splash and mount) plus hardware. Toms and bass drum are constructed of 100% poplar with a tough and attractive covered finish. The snare drum is composed of solid steel. The drums are outfitted with Imperialstar lugs, bass drum spurs, tom holder, snare strainer, and thicker drum heads on batter side. The Tama Standard drum kit also includes improved German-made cymbals, the Stagemaster hardware series, and an HT25 drum throne.
Dual rack toms with floor tom provide punch and depth.
Tama's highest priority features developing the Superstar series was sound. Superstar shells use birch for the main inner plies for strong projection and aggressive open sound. Precisely cut bearing edges bring out the great response and powerful resonance of these superbly crafted shells. Bass drum shells are made from 7 plies of 7mm basswood; toms and snare drum are made from 6 plies of 6mm basswood. All Superstar kits come standard with excellent Tama hardware.
