I teach finger style, classical, folk blues, jazz, theory, and banjo. I enjoy teaching beginner to advanced students of all ages.

I have played consistently in bands for 30 years and for the past 22 years have played with the classic rock band "Rumours". My name is Tom and I am the drum set/percussion instructor at Heid Music in Wisconsin Rapids. I attend the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point working towards my undergraduate degree in percussion performance. At the university I currently study drum set with Ryan Korb and classical percussion with Sean Connors. My former instructors include Robert Rosen, Vicki Jenks, and Tom Ross. Durning my education I have strived to learn many genres of music that include jazz,rock and rumba. I have performed with the UWSP concert band, wind ensemble, orchestra, jazz combos and the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra. Since fall 2010 I have been teaching privately in the Stevens Point are and have enjoyed sharing my musical experiences with others. I am glad to have started teaching here at Heid Music in the spring of 2012 and would like to welcome anyone interested in drum set or percussion to come in share the experience of learning music.

My name is Kenny MacMillan and I graduated in the spring of 2009 from UW-Stevens Point with a bachelors degree in instrumental music education. I have taught in Merrill, Wausau, Stevens Point, and here at Heid Music. My primary instrument throughout college was the horn, but I can teach most brass and woodwind instruments from beginning to intermediate levels. This includes flute, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, euphonium/baritone, and tuba. I can teach horn and trumpet at any proficiency level. First and foremost, I make sure all of my students have fun with music. Second, but equally important, is that I tailor all lessons to what the student hopes to learn. My name is Bobbi Rohrs and I am a licensed instrumental music teacher. During my time at UW-Stevens Point, I played horn in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble. I also played bassoon and clarinet in the Campus Band. As a hornist, my quartet was selected as the 2004 Alice Peet Faust Concerto Competition winner. I currently play horn in the Wisconsin Rapids City Band, and sing in the Monteverdi Chorale and UCC Choir. I previously taught 6th grade band and junior high lessons for WRPS. I welcome all beginning through intermediate wind instrument players, and teach early childhood music and beginning piano lessons. All ages are welcome!
